How to leverage negative emotions to get rich

specifically fear and pain

the world is full of people who go the opposite direction whenever success feels uncomfortable.

this is why so many stay stuck.

most successful people know that discomfort is actually your compass pointing toward growth. when you feel these 4 signals, KEEP MOVING FORWARD:

  1. logically-justified fear: every entrepreneur feels fear regularly. the difference is they evaluate it rationally, counter the downside risks, and keep moving. ray kroc was 50+ with hundreds of unprofitable mcdonald's locations and still pushed through.

  2. extreme FOMO: if you're not constantly feeling like you're missing out on vacations, parties, relaxation, or lifestyle moments, you're probably not sacrificing enough. real sacrifice hurts - that's how you know it's working. sacrifice isn't sacrifice until you genuinely miss what you're giving up.

  3. social/selling anxiety: that uncomfortable feeling before approaching someone valuable or making an ask is a clear sign you should do exactly that thing. successful people dive into these nasty-feeling moments rather than avoid them.

  4. skin in the game: if failure wouldn't sting at all, you're not pushing hard enough. you should have something meaningful at risk, not reckless, but enough to feel it.

your entire life is spent in boxes of comfort. to reach the next level, you need to feel the pain of pushing against the walls of your current box.

when you consistently use pain and fear as your north star rather than letting them repel you, you break through to levels most people never reach.

there are things that feel uncomfortable you should avoid (like tax evasion), but these four signals are nearly always pointing toward your growth.

most die without ever reaching their potential because they spent their lives running from the very things that would have set them free.
